Our governing body plays a vital role in ensuring the school fulfils its vision and statutory duties.

About our governing body

The Governing Body of Baslow St Anne's C of E Primary School is responsible for:

  • Setting the strategic direction of the school
  • Holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school
  • Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure money is well spent
  • Ensuring the school fulfils its statutory duties

As a Voluntary Controlled Church of England school, we have governor representatives appointed by the Diocese and the Parochial Church Council (PCC) alongside parent governors, staff governors, and co-opted governors.
